Mourinho serious about tempting Ozil to Man Utd
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is serious about tempting Mesut Ozil away from Arsenal.
The Independent says Mourinho is confident of convincing Ozil, off contract in June, to stay in the Premier League and make the controversial switch to Old Trafford.
Talks have been ongoing between Arsenal chiefs and Ozil's representatives about a new deal at the Emirates.
However, talks have hit a brick wall and there does not look like there is a real appetite on the player's part to commit to the Gunners long-term.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is desperate to hold on to Ozil, a player the Frenchman has defended and kept faith with despite the former Real Madrid star's performances which have polarised Arsenal and football fans at large.
If Arsenal do give up on Ozil, they could look to move him on in January to avoid the prospect of losing him and Alexis Sanchez for nothing at the end of the season.
