- Some northern governors have been sent to some states in southeast and south-south on a peace mission
- The governors include Alhaji Kashim Shattima, the chairman of the Forum and governor of Borno state, Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi and Hon Simon Lalong of Plateau state
- The delegation is expected to assure the southeast governors that all Nigerians are free to live anywhere in the country without molestation
President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly sent northern governors to the south-east in a bid to secure peace after riots broke out in Abia state over deployment of the military to the area.
The governors are also expected to visit Cross River and Rivers.
