Carlo Ancelotti is open to returning to the Premier League this summer if Bayern Munich call time on his reign at the Allianz Arena, according to reports.
Hoffenheim boss Julian Nagelsmann has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern at the end of the season, while the German champions have a break clause in Ancelotti’s contract, which means the Italian could be available this summer.
According to ESPN, Ancelotti is happy to stay at Bayern but the 58-year-old will seek a return to the English top flight if the club decide to change manager.
That could pave the way for Ancelotti to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal as the Frenchman will have just one year on his contract remaining.
Wenger signed a new deal at the end of May but admitted that he hesitated before extending his 21-year stay at Arsenal.
Ancelotti, who guided Chelsea to the league and cup double in 2010, has also been shortlisted by Manchester United and Liverpool before the arrivals of Jose Mourinho and Jurgen Klopp.
