Barcelona have completed the signing of Spanish forward Jose Arnaiz on a three-year deal with the option of a further two years from Real Valladolid.
The 22-year-old winger ends a two-year association with the White and Violets and joins Barcelona’s B team, who secured promotion to LaLiga2 last season, for €3.5m though – as Diario Sport reports – add-ons in his contract could see the deal exceed €4m.
Yet to earn an international cap with any of Spain’s youth teams he leaves having made 42 official appearances for Real Valladolid whom he joined from childhood club Talavera in 2013.
Nominally a left-sided winger, though can play as an attacking midfielder if needs be, Arnáiz registered 12 goals and created four assists whilst turning out for the Castile and León-based club.
In the process he becomes the ninth acquisition of Barcelona’s second team and the most expensive this summer to date.
